Hello APB Reloaded Players,

We have some important news to share with you today.

In light of recent events, Little Orbit has taken a bold step to restore fairness and enjoyment in APB Reloaded by unbanning nearly all previously banned accounts.

Why Unban Now?

Throughout 2024, our anti-cheat system has experienced a number of significant issues, leading to the false bans of over 35% of our player base. Effective today, we have disabled automatic EAC punishments to eliminate the risk of any further issues. As we near the final integration of our new anti-cheat, we have also chosen to unban nearly all accounts to offer them a fresh start. Please note that accounts involved in credit card fraud were not unbanned.

Why Unban Nearly Everyone?

We started the process of sorting out the false and positive bans from the issues with EAC a couple of months ago. Over the course of our investigation, we found there simply wasn’t enough information to make that determination. That meant we had to unban everyone, going back to February or possibly January. But it was hard to determine the exact date where the issues started. Then we asked ourselves about the fairness of unbanning some players and not others. We know that today’s announcement will be controversial, but ultimately we know that the new anti-cheat will start the process of sorting cheaters from regular players again as soon as it comes online.

We didn’t just unban cheaters. We unbanned players who violated our terms and conditions, such as selling items online or bad conduct in game. A multi-year ban for those kinds of mistakes seems punishment enough.

We believe in second chances. This is it. It is an opportunity for everyone to start fresh, respect the rules, and enjoy what is coming.

What Is On The Horizon?

1. Updated Matchmaking System: Our newly revamped matchmaking system is a ground up rewrite aimed at generating more balanced and fair matches. We have also modified calling for “Back Up" and added a new "Escalation" feature to add depth and strategy to gameplay.
2. New Content: Two new contacts are in the late stages of being tested and finalized. They include new rewards such as weapons, new clothing, modifications and an increase in the maximum player rank to 270.
3. New Anti-Cheat System: We have been hard at work selecting and integrating something new. Once that solution is ready, we will provide a full write-up. Until it is fully implemented, we will manually review punishments to ensure fairness.
