Preview from Matt: Christmas 2024

Hi everyone,

Christmas is just around the corner and we’ve been hard at work trying to make this one something special that all of you can enjoy no matter what you want to do when you decide to log in and play some APB: Reloaded!

The Holiday Season in San Paro begins on December 18th, and this year we’re going back to the roots of what made Christmas in APB: Reloaded special with new roles and some new levels to an existing role that both award some exciting new rewards such as new Titles, mass amounts of Joker Tickets, and an exclusive unlock to a non-legendary, two open slot version of the DOW Shotgun. We also want to emphasize that we have heard your concerns and feedback about events having their role progression based around competing daily activities, so this time around we have made it so you can grind out these roles and finish them in one sitting if that is what you want to!

1. The Beacon Festivities

The Beacon is back with five rotating Minigames including two new ones as well as a completely new Role that can be progressed by playing Minigames on The Beacon!

Ever wondered what APB: Reloaded played like over a decade ago? Look no further, the “Blast from the Past” Gun Game runs you through a set of legacy weapons using their original stats, including minimal sprint delays for some extremely fast-paced action.

But that’s not all, get ready to play with some absurd weaponry in our new “Redhill Experiments…?” Gun Game, with guns such as the PMG-SD ‘Staple Gun’, N-SPiN 3310, as well as Redhill’s prototype attempt to make Snowparo a reality.

In addition to our two new gun games, the following Minigames are also making a return:

• Prototype Testing Grounds
  A fan-favorite Minigame that defies the rules of traditional APB: Reloaded Weaponry.

• 12 Deaths of Christmas
  A classic Gun Game that runs you through regular APB Weapons. We have made some adjustments to some of the weapon loadouts and applied a set of mods that isn’t as punishing and clunky to use.

• Snowball Fight!
  Pelt your opposition into submission with the newly buffed HohohoPGL in this faction-based snowball showdown.

Participate in Minigames to earn rewards such as Joker Tickets and to level the new “Elfin’ Around” Role, which awards six new titles, a total of 2400 Joker Tickets, and the unlock to the DOW Stock NFCP 2, allowing you to lease the weapon for as many times as you want!

2. Mission District Mayhem

When you log into the game during the Holiday season, you will receive a limited-time set of weapons via Mail that provides you with the HohohoPGL primary and Snowball grenade-type.

Use these weapons in Mission Districts to level the returning “Snowball Fight!” Weapon Role, which unlocks a set of returning rewards such as the Candy Cane weapon skin as well as two new titles to show off and prove you’re the best at pelting the opposing faction into submission, along with some Joker Tickets! If you have shown to be a precise snowball thrower in previous years, you might log in and earn some of the new rewards immediately.

But that’s not all! Join our Staff and GM Team at random times throughout the Holiday season to participate in some large-scale Snowball Fights and Gun Games that award Joker Tickets.

3. Restocked

The Elves are back in San Paro and have added some new goodies to their vendor rotation, allowing players to earn five titles from previous Christmas events as well as all six Christmas-themed weapon skins for Joker Tickets.

Worried about the competition, Wilde from the Joker Distribution Store has also added six new weapons to her selection of permanent weaponry. We will reveal which guns are being added along with the reveal of an entirely new gun in a blog post tomorrow.

4. Show Up in Style (or Don’t)

This year we will also be running a design contest for all of the talented designers out there who prefer to spend their Holiday season in Social Districts designing new clothes. We’re still working on this one and will have more news in the very near future!
